The Food Relief Network is an informal network of local not-for-profit and charity groups who provide food assistance across Greater Bendigo.
Bendigo Community Food Pantry gives people who are finding things tough, free food orders to temporarily reduce their living costs and help them get back on their feet.
Food orders are made up to suit your needs from what we have available, and can include things like rice, lentils, bread, fruit, vegetables, and frozen meals.

Following the success of last year’s Ewing Park trial, residents can again be active at night under light during the winter months.
Ewing Park oval (located on Havlin Street West), together with North Bendigo’s Shadforth Park soccer pitches and Heathcote’s Barrack Reserve netball court, will be lit up from 5.30pm – 8pm seven days a week until the start of daylight savings.
The Healthy Heart of Victoria initiative is also offering four weeks of free, general exercise sessions to cater for all fitness levels:
Many outdoor spaces across the City are open for the community to use for free. AND the lights will be on from 5.30pm-8.00pm every night over winter at some of our outdoor spaces! Following the success of last year’s Ewing Park trial, you can be active at night under light at:
The lights will be on until the start of daylight savings thanks to the City of Greater Bendigo and Healthy Heart of Victoria.
At times there will also be some formal sports training taking place at the participating reserves and
residents are encouraged to use the space when training is not underway.

The Department of Health and Agriculture Victoria will be hosting an online community forum on Tuesday, 12 April from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. The event is an opportunity for residents and businesses in north and north western Victoria to learn about the transmission and impact of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) virus, ways the department and Agriculture Victoria are responding to the outbreak, regions impacted by the virus and ways they can prevent the spread of the virus.
A portion of the event will be set aside for Q&As, which will be answered by representatives from the department and/or Agriculture Victoria.
