Heathcote Health (HH) is looking to appoint a Nurse Practitioner Candidate (NPC) on a permanent part-time basis. This exciting position has scope to work across our organisation as well as targeting identified service gaps within the community. We are looking to work with your skillset in a small rural health service model that encompasses aged, community, acute and urgent care.
The NPC will provide high level clinical nursing expertise to patients across the services of HH. Practicing at an advanced level of nursing, the NPC will have an expanded scope of practice and an advanced degree of autonomy and clinical decision making. Working independently and collaboratively, the NPC will work primarily within the Acute ward and urgent care centre, with opportunity to practice across all services HH provides. The NPC will undertake comprehensive assessment of patients’ health status including their medical history and physical examination. The NPC will undertake clinical management of patients and initiate and interpret diagnostic pathology and radiology where required. In collaboration with other clinicians, the NPC will also initiate interventional therapies and medications. The NPC will accept accountability for your nursing practice, professional advice given, delegations of care made, and work to address inconsistencies between practice and policy.
