No Bull Support Workshop

The ongoing dry seasonal conditions are impacting on our rural            communities. You are invited to join in a relaxed workshop to discuss a range of ways to look after yourself and support those around you.

The free City of Greater Bendigo workshop will be held on Wednesday 30 October from 5pm till 8.30pm at Barrack Reserve Oval Room, High Street Heathcote. A light dinner will be provided.

This month’s issue looks at Thunderstorm Asthma and Hayhever.

Grass Pollen season brings a seasonal increase in asthma and hay fever. It also brings the chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma. When a large number of people develop asthma symptoms over a short period of time, caused by high amounts of grass pollen and a certain type of thunderstorm, it is known as epidemic thunderstorm asthma.

Thunderstorm asthma can affect those with asthma or hay fever – especially people who experience wheezing or coughing with their hay fever. To learn more click here

 

Catering Supervisor

Permanent Part Time – 45 hours per fortnight

Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals with a passion for the food industry. To be successful in this role you must have an expert knowledge of food production and food service.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing effective and efficient Food Services in line with service outcomes for all stakeholders, policies, standards, licenses and legislations.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to be customer service focused while managing a food service function.

A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and a Food Safety Supervisors Certificate (HLT coded) is desirable for this role.
